Next week, I will be posting a little Christmas craft tutorial. Hope to see you then.

Wish List Wednesday

This fair trade fish mug from Greenheart Shop is both gorgeous and socially conscious. The koi fish are handpainted on the celadon mugs for Mai Handicrafts in Vietnam. Some of the proceeds from the sales of Mai Handicrafts go toward training and social work projects in underserved areas.

No snow!!

If you have been reading my blog, you'll know that we had a bitterly cold winter, chilly spring and a summer that was barely there. This month, Mother Nature is making up for the rest of the year. Normally, this time of year we would have snow. It wouldn't be too cold, but cold enough to reliably have snow.

Not only do we not have snow, but the temperatures have been great. Not a heat wave, but the kids have still been riding their bikes and there have been evenings where I have gone out in a sweater....A SWEATER!!!

The average November temperature here is -5 degrees C or 23 degrees F. It has been 10 degrees C or 50 degrees F and I am in heaven. The only downside is that we are all taking turns being sick in our home and the kids have not been able to play outside as much as they (or I) would like.

I put in my order for an amazing fall and it was delivered. Thanks Mother Nature.

Wish List Wednesday

I love the look of these plastic rose cabochon earrings from Lost and Fawned. They are very reasonably priced and I think they would look cute with my grey ruffle cardigan and a pair of jeans. I may just have to fulfill this wish for myself!

Sparkle-tastic

My youngest stayed home sick today and, in between sniffles and coughs, decided that I needed a crown.....a sparkly crown. I do need a crown for those "extra fancy" days, but I didn't need my house to resemble a Vegas showgirl.

There are fine little sparkles on the table, on the floor, on the clothes and even in my soup at lunch. (How did they get in there?) Maybe I should just go with it and realize that everyone needs a little sparkle in their lives and today is my day.
Now....where's my feather boa?

Wish List Wednesday...errr Thursday

These totem stacking porcelain cups designed by Rob Southcott look like works of art when they are not in use. They come in sets of four and can be found at IMM Living.
